  1. I'm not a promotor but I'm a major music freak and I have to share that the best night filled with eletro-tinged melodies is being spun by Tommy Etzi at Sin Sin starting around 9:30 tonight. This is the best higher energy electro bass and synths I've heard out (tho I've only been going out for a month). Another great night I've found for Electro is Larry Tee's party at Duvet Thursday nights.
  2. Depehce Mode rocks... But I'm more into their synth stuff. Has anyone heard the latest? They were definitly the best band to see in the 80's.
  3. I believe what I'm talking about started around 7 - 7:30 I believe. I left around 8:30ish and this is after he did it a few times within the hour. From what I've heard of the guy I'm sure it just wasn't one of his better nights. The best songs tho were by Lee when I first walked in a bit before midnight and no one was there. He played a few tunes that were superb.
  4. I hope this is fun tonight. Hopefully there's some room & good reason to move on the floor.
  5. 1st time being to Spirit and 1st time hearing Richie or Lee play. I really liked what Lee was playing in the begining but wasn't too overly impressed as the night went on. I had to leave after the 3rd or 4th time Richie pretty muched stopped the music (ok, turned it down quite extensivly) to get the crowd to clap for him more. Don't get me wrong, I was dancing the whole night and enjoyed the experimentation of Richie's work but after hearing Lee play a few really good songs in the begining I feel let down.
  6. man o man i will be there tonight rearing and ready to go hear what you residential peeps play. unfortunatly i won't make it til later but i'll definitly will catch the rez's tonight. now what's the number for the request line?
  7. Yeah man, after this past party I'll definitly will be there. Looking forward to hearing not just Lola but Sean & John play too. C ya then.
  8. I was definitly one of those who was luvin it. I must admit it was a bit up and down in parts but most of the tracks lit up the night.
  9. Yup, that was me. Who's this? Music is my passion in life man (thus dancing naturally follows). And by the way, call me Michael.
  10. Talk about the best night eva in my NYC club existence (that would be 3 whole weeks - 5 x's going out). Maybe it's just because we have Florida in common but Chris really put out unlike any other DJ I've heard lately. Did anyone else go? If so, what didya think?
  11. Man - some of those tracks you laid down were on top. You had one that sampled an old old 90's song that was absolutely superb.
  12. The "VIP" room @ Opaline on Friday nights is kinda club-kiddish. It has a nice small feel to it, something that hasn't been spoiled yet. I've been going there for the past month and since it appears it's all about the music and dancing, and no longer the drugs (I could be ignorant and just missing this fact tho), it's really something to be seen and heard. Time Out (and forgive the reference) says the roof is where it's at but as far as I can tell there's no dancing up there and I'm sorry but that nulls and voids any scene for me.
  13. Anyone know what type of tunes he plays? I mean bust me set of New Order/Revenge/Monaco (throw some Electronic and The Other Two in there too) and I'll be set however I doubt this is going to happen. Also, what is Lotus like? It's not a breeder's playground is it?
  14. MR. Bull --- yo yo! Fun party last night... Will definitly be there to check it out next week for Lola. Kenny laid down some quality tunes last night. Tho I must admit the grand prize goes to the rez who was movin all night long - don't see too many of dem dj's joining the crowd to get down to it (there's a song, "Get off your high horse" that goes "ever seen a dj dance?")... Just an obscure sidenote.
  15. YO MR!!! I'll be there on the spot 10:30 on the floor actin & dancin like a fool....
  16. "I am not a heterosexual right?" --- asked myself that many a times a night before and have yet to come up with the correct answer --- bump and grind if it's good for your mind you can twist and shout, let it all hang out but you won't fool the children of the revolution.
  17. Oscar --- the post was in defense of people ragging on you. GEEZ!
  18. finally... i get to hear what this deepie is all about.
  19. To keep posting about this to the nth power is beyond lame - can we move on? slama-jama-me for all i care - let's just talk about something else....
  20. i am definitly going - all by my lonesome self but hey a party of one is still a party
  21. knew it - i start posting and it's all downhill after that. i love being destructive....
  22. Jailbait or Age of Consent "Won't you please let me go These words lie inside they hurt me so And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you Just what I want to do I'm not the kind that needs to tell you Just what you want me to"
  23. I went to citysearch.com (I know, not the best reference out there) but every review was saying how rude the staff was, how small the space is and how hard it is to get inside the "velvet ropes" on the weekends. Is this still holding true? How does this place rate on the Kinsey scale? ie, how str8 is it? I don't mind str8 I just don't want a bunch of ditzy blondes and macho jerks ruining the night.
