  1. If you read this and plan on going to OPM tonight, Saturday March 26, please realize the following: This will probably be the busiest night in OPM history so if you cannot get there by midnight I would suggest not going at all. This whole week has been insane all around town. And OPM nearly doubled what it did last week so far (and last week was a record week so you can only imagine what's been going on.) Tonight will cause a three hour wait after midnight, no exaggeration. In other words if you get there at 12, you probably won't be enjoying the inside of the club until 2:30 or 3:00 unless you tip the door people $100+ Even bottle service won't help because all the tables are sold out (unless someone doesn't show up.) So please please please follow my advice as I try to give on this board all the time... Get there by 10:30 or 11:00 the latest. That goes for all the hot spots tonight (ie. Body English, Ra, Ice, Tangerine and ESPECIALLY Pure and OPM). Don't say I didn't warn you.

    Rehab

No luckily for me I get to spin 8 hours a night at OPM because my boy Andy Gil is down in Miami doin his thing. I hear that is a sick ass party down there. But somebody has to hold it down at home base and luckily for me, I have stackers with ephedrine which mixes nicely with

Scotty boy is doing a Thursday gig at B.E.?? Doesn't he hold down residency at Vivid on Thursdays now?
  4. I actually just went out and bought popcorn for this one...
  5. Nola, about the condescending pricks remark, I understand your beef, but just realize the reason we sometimes get steamed is because people come up on here and ask about dress code - no big deal - we answer everyone and have several posts in the archive to show that -- but sometimes (just this week) someone will come here and ask a question - we will then answer their question - and then they will argue about it as if we can change the policies of these spots. In the other post, we just had some arrogant obnoxious jerk explain that dress code is crap and he should be let in with sneakers because he looks better than fat people. I'm sure Mr. Vegas was thinking about that when he took it out on this thread. So please understand, Vegas is actually one of the MECAS for partying in the USA right now - and as long as fellas don't wear sneakers, athletic wear, ripped or overbaggy jeans, t-shirts then they can get into just about anywhere.
  6. LOL, I meant the door doesn't judge _guys_ by their looks... Hot girls always get treated extra special, but it's all good. Just fed up with this guy. Hope he posts his pic so we can see how gorgeous he is
  7. And of course best Electronic regular hours: Ice Friday and Saturday.
  8. Yes, the people in that pic made an effort to be in dress code and who knows if they were cool or not. Yes, they look older than 21, not in perfect shape and Mexican - SO WHO THE FUCK CARES? In Vegas, people aren't judged at the door by the way they physically look - they are judged by their adherence to the rules, their attitude and the size of their wallet. Theboy, in my humble opinion, you are a total jerk off based on your posts for the past week on this board. Please do me a favor and don't come to any club where I spin or promote. Bring your hot self to some club that doesn't care enough to allow people in with sneakers and t-shirt regardless of beauty like yours - by the way post a pic - a girl I know wants to see how hot you are since you talk such a big game.
  9. I'm nice unless you ask about sneakers LOL just kidding. You should sign up for free entry at www.o-pm.com/lv/?from-clubplanet Sunday Apr 10: This is a good night at OPM especially after midnight. Hip hop in the main room, Reggae in the back. And Body English goes off that night, but not all hip-hop like OPM. Monday: Foundation Room Tue: Pure Wed: Tangerine for top 40/house or OPM for Latin and I might have another surprise on Wednesdays coming soon... Thu: Ra for hip-hop or OPM for old school. Fri: If you're still in town, that is one of OPM's marquis nights - packed - hip hop, r&b and reggae.

    Rehab

Cabanas are prime real estate -- good luck.
  11. I think they tried it last year. $20 cover included open bar. Didn't work. Ice is a weekend spot.
  12. That is an AWESOME post and extremely accurate. PROPS. By the way, as much as I hate to admit it, you might want to put Rain into other on Thursday. They have a decent size crowd there on Thursdays.

    Club Rio

Bikinis is cheesy - don't expect that spot to be around too much longer. Rio is better, with much better DJ talent as well. On Fridays Cyberkid spins hip-hop and top 40. On Saturdays T-Ski headlines, again spinning hip-hop and top 40. Fridays are usually pretty slow but Saturdays get pretty busy. The crowd is almost 100% tourists. Not a very good looking crowd, and definitely not the type of vibe you will find at Body English, Pure, OPM, or Ice. But you will probably still have fun, especially if you go there Saturday instead of Friday.
  14. Well hey I don't ever try to disrespect anyone and I'm sorry if anything I said came off as offensive. I have just had a peeve for the longest time and that is when an out of town guest with a bad attitude refuses to respect rules of the establishments he visits because he thinks he is above them. That kinda shit just pisses me off. But hey it's all good and life goes on Oh and about jumping ship, OPM is definitely not ghetto (anymore?) unless you consider a very well dressed peaceful diverse crowd ghetto due to the color of their skin (don't worry I'm not starting an "outofthebox" argument here lol). My references to ghetto at 5150 are based on a hip-hop club that encourages you to dress like a thug and advertises that their bouncers will beat the shit out of you when you trip lol - sorry but that _is_ ghetto lol.
  15. Bill, dude, you gotta let me set you up one Saturday at OPM, even if you just drop in from 11:30 to 12:30. You got it all wrong. Thursday is all about Ra for the average hip-hop lover. And Saturdays are all about OPM for the same crowd. I know that might not fit into your business model, and by the way I appreciate you even including OPM in your listings, but I think you would be doing people a better service if you see first hand why I am pointing this out.
  16. How bout tennis sneakers, Jordans or sandals, Bill?
  17. I dont think I received your PM. I'm not sure how the $100 gets split up to be honest. I think most goes to the hosts. As far as the charge itself, it's a supply and demand thing now that the tables are selling out each week. They do that at a few other spots too from what I hear - I know they tried to pull that on me at Studio a few Tuesdays ago and I said "nah that aint gonna happen, I'll spend my money at Pure" and they let it slide because Studio isn't selling out so there's no reason to put a premium on unsold real estate - especially to industry ya know. Does Ra charge for real estate? I know I never had to pay it on Thursdays back in the day.
  18. I heard from several people that it was awesome.
  19. Uhhh, are we talking about the same place? 5150 equals house music? That is the new all hip-hop spot on Fridays/Saturdays that stresses no dress code and in their radio ad it says something like "if y'all trip we got crew that know how to bounce yo ass out head first!" I have friends who work at the station who said it was the most ghetto party they have ever seen. So my comments were definitely not related to house music. Further I find it amazing that a Vegas regular could be offended by my honest advice to someone who is clearly obnoxious with a bad attitude, coming to this town like his shit don't stink. My advice is that there are rules - follow them - his position is that rules are crap and they should only apply to fat people. Go figure
  20. Dee and BillHe where are you?? Vegaskiki, where do you get your information? Pure isn't even open on Thursday. Foundation room is closed to the public on Friday last time I checked. Here are the nights that are happening in Vegas. Monday: Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay Tuesday: Pure @ Caesars, Studio 54 @ MGM Wednesday: Tangerine @ T.I. Thursday: Ra @ Luxor (all hip-hop), Tabu @ MGM Friday: Pure @ Caesars, Body English @ Hard Rock, OPM (all hip-hop) @ Caesars Saturday: Pure, Body English, OPM, Ice (electronic) Sunday: Body English, OPM, Light After hours, you just can't go wrong at Drais. Also check out AM @ 42deuce on Mondays and Saturdays, maybe Rubber too.
  21. Hi most clubs in Vegas play top 40, hip-hop and rock. Some spots like Ice and Drais play electronic but mostly in the form of house music. As far as D&B, sometimes people advertise special events on napkinnights.com's message board. There's not really a big D&B scene in town. Hope you find what you're looking for.
  22. The standard Vegas answer about dress code for ladies: Dress to impress, but you can get in no matter what you're wearing... as long as you don't look like a dude.
  23. LOL I'm sure we are both nice guys. I'm just curious. Why do you think clubs have dress codes then? Are they just coming down on people? Should upscale clubs just enforce dress code for people who don't work out? Because in the make believe world that would be interesting, but in the real world where I live, my advice might have saved you a trip back to your hotel room to change.
