  1. Marc, did it ever occur to you that almost all the music all of us DJs drop are made by other people?? Even the remixes use elements from original music that other people make. Who cares? I mean yes, biting is wrong, but so is bashing the way your attempting to do on message boards. What I do know is that AM makes over $3500 a night and brings one of the best parties in the country every weekend at Body English. What I also know is that I laugh at your insults about how nobody would last one minute against real djs? Shit, I would hate to be a real dj then. And the djs that count DO give props - it's the jealous amateurs who use a message board to whine and cry about this crap - and the real djs who all come out of the woodwork to defend against it.
  2. Actually it is equally not against the law for other people to have opinions too - but its all good. It's just not everyday that someone makes a claim like that. I even brought it up at the manager's meeting today and we looked over the security tapes (there are cameras there ya know) and didn't see anything that supported your story. Regardless there's a big difference between a "lap dance" and "doing it." People give lap dances at clubs all the time, but you don't see them banging on the floor that often. Perfect example how a story can be slighly altered to enhance the actual story. Again it's no big deal. I'm always quick to defend the club I promote so don't take it personal, I know I didn't.
  3. Tony, fyi Hilton cancelled the South Beach Pool Party. Perfect example of being *too* succesful with a party. We loaded that spot up with the young hip-hop crowd and the president of the hotel became, ummm, how do you say, "corporately nervous" ... I can't wait to lock down my own spot where "corporate" types don't feel the need to keep things so "acceptable."
  4. B.E. is definitely the L.A. visitor's choice on Sunday. Risque is a good warmup now that they hired local hip-hop station hot 97 to sponsor their night - one room of hip-hop, another room of house. Light is off the hook and mostly locals. OPM is all Reggae and Hip-Hop with a predominately urban crowd on Sundays.
  5. Well what activity were you involved in then, if you don't mind my asking? As far as hand to the back and pushed without saying sorry - we do that every single day at the club - and it happens at Pure, Body English and every other packed spot. It's really no big deal How else do you get where you're going in a situation like that? If you apologized for moving people out of your way in Vegas, you'd be saying "sorry" all night! Seriously though, I am sorry it didn't work out for you, and I cannot stress enough that the raver scene is about the opposite of the hip-hop scene. Just listen to the lyrics of the music and that just about says it all. All good and peace my friend.
  6. You have got to be kidding. Bouncers don't let people get blowjobs or "do it" in the hallway (but I do give you an "A" for effort in your attempt to enhance your story). I've never seen anything remotely like that in a year of being there. And it makes me quite suspect to hear you state they simply followed the ravers around? Maybe whatever drugs you took caused paranoia and halucinations. The bouncers have better things to do than just follow innocent people around unless their activities warrant it. Further, this weekend was a completely friendly crowd, so if people were being rude to you I have a feeling it may have been a two way street. LOL when there's 1500 people in a medium sized space people have a tendency to make some physical contact, but that's not considered rude, it's considered moving in a busy club. Your version of people feeling like they were special, may be an interpretation of people feeling confident and comfortable, which is a trait of regulars who attend hip-hop clubs. It's not the same vibe as a rave - attitude is often misunderstood by people who are not familiar with the hip-hop vibe. As far as people skipping the line, like every other hot spot, doormen accept tips to allow people to skip. Further, the tables were sold out and all the table customers can walk straight through VIP because they are paying for it. It's just the way it works in Vegas. If they only wanted to allow two out of five in, that's probably because your friends were out of dress code. Anyway sorry it didn't work for you. Hip-hop clubs aren't for everyone. I would recommend Ice for you next time.

  8. I heard Thursday was not much of an improvement either.
  9. For those reading this thread, DigDug (Larry) is the very underrated yet highly talented resident at Body English, Rehab, and formerly Baby's. If anybody knows how A.M. does, it's the man with the plan... DigDug.
  10. GVR's Nirvana is a GREAT party - just checked it out today - very good looking crowd - more relaxed than Rehab - definitely more locals - more intimate - and 100% house music by some very awesome DJs. A must see for house music lovers and for people who enjoy lots of quality "talent."
  11. Good looking out Tony - thank you and hope the parties go great. DMX, for the OPM list just sign up at www.freevegasclubs.com/opm/guestlist.html And if you want to confirm the night of the event, just call 702-369-4998. Should be a crazy week coming up!!
  12. Holla Sizza. How are you and Riz doing? Please shout to my boy Ava. He ripped it up at OPM Memorial Sunday. Maybe next time you're in town, you can stop by.
  13. You probably alienated a whole bunch of potential clubgoers on this board by using an attack on a well respected DJ as a means to promote your event (your earlier thread).
  14. There are usually two sides to every story, and usually the actual truth exists somewhere between both sides. So before coming onto a public message board and accusing a respected, established, talented DJ of stealing music, you should consider approaching Adam directly and talk to him. I know in this day and age of serato, a lot of music and databases are being collaborated by several djs together so your people may have shared their remixes with other djs who also collaborate with Adam. Anyway, keep it real, but be sure your accusations are warranted before going public against a great guy like Adam.
  15. Killer review Greenie and also thanks for the props - hope to see you next time you're in town.
  16. Yes, 18+ noon to 7pm. Hip-hop djs. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I'm getting a free guest list together - will be ready tomorrow.
  17. Roofies are so cool.

    Mix Lounge

Hey Tony (LALATE) I sent you an email but not sure your current address @email.com. Can you email your current address to djmw@freevegasclubs.com Thanks.
  19. 5150 is in a bad location so unless they advertise and promote they will probably remain slow.
  20. Pure, Body English, Ice, Light, OPM, Tangerine, Tabu
  21. Without dealing with a host or bottle service, my best advice for Pure is to show up before 10:30 that night.
  22. by the day before the event.
  23. Really? Last time I went to Coyote Ugly there was a juke box which controlled the music (people would pay to request songs) and there was only about 10 hip-hop songs in the whole directory (and all about a year old or older). If they changed that, then I stand corrected. And I thought Teatro was a "Euro-bar" featuring djs like Digital Boy. My bad if my info was wrong. OPM / Pure combo on weekend nights is a guaranteed good time with plenty of hip-hop and totally different crowds to mix it up.
  24. Just one person from the party. We just need to know how many total people will be joining that one person and they all must come together.
  25. Ra has high ceilings - maybe that's the factor?
