furnace replied to furnace's topic in New York / New Jersey
Sup dszorro... Were you there? Did we meet? ------------------ -
That time is upon us again! Gatecrasher was a pleasant suprise last time, even to the most fickle of critics...(you know who they are on this board) But the majority of people who went loved it. This time: Guy Ornadel Matt Hartwick Scott Bond Guy Ornadel is the sleeper of this group...there have been many requests to hear him spin on Phazon at Twilo...I agree. PM me with first name, last initial for reduced list. ------------------

Yup yup, had a GREAT time. Crommy, Vejita, MrNice, and I went to Melkweg, which is a multi-purpose place. The Earth party that Crommy mentioned was there, with Sander Kleinenberg, Lee Burridge, and Nick Warren spinning. Yes, we had to get a membership card. But with these exchange rates, and that lineup, it was worth it. Like Crommy said, go to xpander.nl to check out the dilly on who, what, where, when. We also hit the downstairs lounge at the Supper Club. It was a Tuesday night, and they were spinning some good French House like Bob Sinclair, St Germain, Daft Punk, etc. Get a Time Out for Amsterdam and look up Supper Club. G'luck, PM me if ya got questions. ------------------

Mugwump... I'm into that stuff too...as well as the new bossa sound...updated Brazilian jazz funk fusion. You should check out Organic Grooves...they throw tribal parties once a month or so. www.organicgrooves.com Also, there is another party called Mutiny that is Indian/drum and bass oriented. Sneha, what was the website for this? g'luck Mugwump, I'll let you know if I'm going to any of these. ------------------

**ClubNYC Drink Meet-Up!!! APRIL 6TH!!!**
furnace replied to blueangel's topic in New York / New Jersey
Laparue gets my vote. I love hip hop and all, but do we really want to hear it at a drink meet up? There's a time and a place... The Citysearch description said Nativa plays hip hop... ------------------ -
Anyone needing list for Limelight Saturdays send me a PM... Dieselboy, Soulslinger, TC Islam...good stuff, heard them before. ------------------

It was Pascal, Warren, Sander Missed Pascal... Warren was better than I expected, probably because of the lineup. With Pascal the techno-house dj openning, and Sander with his bleeding edge progressive beats, Nick kept a good portion of his set darker and deeper, out of the mainstream. I have to say though, Sander's set was probably the best I've ever heard at Twilo. I'm part of the progressive crowd, liking deeper spacier tracks, thick ass bass lines, and lower BPM. If you want high BPM, go listen to Tiesto. Shouts to Crommy, Noiseboy, for closing out the night IN THE DJ BOOTH with me...and of course, Sander... ------------------ [This message has been edited by furnace (edited 03-24-2001).]

Great that you had a good time... One correction, however... It was Pascal FEOS that openned the night, not Sander Kleinenberg. Sander closed out the night at 8am with one of the best sets ever played at Twilo. Period. My salute to the best DJ on earth. ------------------
-
Damn! I saw the teaser for that, when they went into commercial...but I didn't know they were going to talk about Twilo! I missed the story! More details please? ------------------

HELP! HOT GIRLIES IN SEARCH OF HOT PARTY ON 3/23
furnace replied to devilwithahalo's topic in New York / New Jersey
You simply MUST go to Twilo for Nick Warren, Sander Kleinenberg, and Pascal FEOS. All of you will feel as if you are entering into another world as you descend down to the main dance floor... The spectacular sight of the crowd, stretched out as far as you can see, jumping in unison to the beat as dancers twirl on the speakers will take your clubbing experience to the next level. After reading the list of clubs you have mentioned, none of them compare to the vibe and the music of Twilo. That's why Twilo was voted #1 club in NYC several times over. Trust me on this one. Email nolimit73@mindspring.com to get on the list. Leave your first names, last initials, and be sure to mention you are new to this list! PM me if you have any questions. ------------------ -
Cheetah Wednesday..Who is going! WMC warm-up??
furnace replied to gingertee's topic in New York / New Jersey
Hey Gingertee... I've been to Network at Cheetah before. Yes, Jason Priestly is there. I think he's the "host" for the party. I went the first night of the party, and it was pretty kickin'. Some pretty mainstream house, not bad, but not great either. The crowd was pretty mixed, age wise. What I liked about it was that it was pretty loose, wasn't packed tight. If you bring your friends, you will have a good time. Go to ************.com to get on the list. If you get in the VIP section where Jason Priestly is hanging out, they hand out free shots. I'll make it back there soon, not just yet. Thursday at Centro-Fly has got my weeknight out... ------------------ -
Ayep, saw her ealier. Nelly Furtado is cool. Bootiful and can sing...what a sparkplug ------------------
