Of course you're going to be disappointed if you're thinking that anyone is going to recreate the scene as it was during Limelight's heyday. That club was an icon and it won't ever be replaced. Unfortunately, rampant drug use and other shady business led to its demise, and many other great clubs went down with it. Now club owners are under intense scrutiny from the feds so you aren't going to find guys in angel wings who distribute ecstasy freely or a bloodfeast party or anything like that. Things are much more toned down now a days. But that doesn't mean the club scene is dead; it's just evolving. As others have said, good parties are always going on if you take a second to look. Not everyone can go out during the weekdays (like me) so I miss out on many of them. But I can have a good time whenever/wherever as long as there's good music and I'm with the right people. And there's been lots of good talent around lately (Dumonde, Roger Sanchez, and AVB come to mind). You can't just step into a club and expect the party to come to you, you've gotta make the party.

I've actually been to this club before and I wasn't too impressed. It's a nice looking venue, but it seemed to cater to a college/hip hop crowd, so I don't know how much of a draw JP is gonna be there. Everyone was packed into the front (hip-hop) room, while the EDM room didn't have a whole lot of people dancing. Lots of 18/19 yr. olds running around in there. What's worse is that it closes @ 2am, so just when the party starts getting good, it's over.

Hell; while they're at it, they should also add some slot machines above the urinals. The bathroom can be a club within a club. It could be like that video Outside by George Michael.

Wow!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like an unbelievable night to say the least. Can't believe I missed it. I've already got next Saturday marked down on my calendar. As I count down the days, I'll be practicing my fist pumping skills. Now the only question is which one of my 27 A/X t-shirts I'll wear. Hmmmmmmmm.....

If a club has a super strict door policy, chances are I don't even wanna be there. Why would I want to hang out somewhere where I'm gonna be surrounded by a bunch of fake ass posers and be forced to listen to bad music? The people that frequent these clubs think that they are part of the "in" crowd b/c they are dumb enough to blow an entire weeks paycheck on some bottles and latest pair of $150 trendy jeans that will probably be out of style next month. If a club told me that I had to buy a certain amount of $300 bottles to hang out there, I would laugh in their face. What's next? Are they gonna ask me to strip down and check the labels of my clothes to make sure I'm wearing Prada, Versace, etc.?

I'm a teacher so I got the summer off. Woo hoo!!!!!!!

Agreed. I don't know if it's the acoustics or that they need a Phazon up in there, but I've certainly heard better. They have a killer light system in there though, so that kinda makes up for it.

It's sad but true! Why did they get rid of their old promotion crew? Was Spirit not pulling in enough numbers on Fridays? Whatever the case may be, it's really too bad. I like Spirit as far as the venue is concerned. If they kept bringing in the kind of talent they used to, it could have become the best club in the city.

Crobar is not even worth going to unless someone really good happens to be spinning on a particular night (Sanchez, Digweed, etc.) Waxman is not exactly "A" list talent. Go somewhere else.
