I usually go w/ beer, but every now and again I'll have a Ketel 1 and tonic.

How is the club scene up there? My friend wants to go to a place called Aria in a couple weeks to see Infected Mushroom.

WTF is up w/ Spirit lately? In the past, they've had some great DJs such as DJ Vibe, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, and the Low End Specialists. But then they go and bring in guys like DeVito and Draper?! I swear it's like the tale of two fuckin clubs w/ this place....

Don't get me wrong...I think that Digweed is a great DJ. It's just that I prefer the more energetic/uplifting sound of CG over the darker sounds of Digweed. Either performance is sure to be great!

I'd go see Cosmic Gate over Digweed any day...

Well I used to be a fan of hip hop back when the artists were more creative and their songs actually had some meaning to them. Today, most hip hop has a very generic sound and is all about money, hoes, rims, Cristal, and other meaningless garbage. I started feeling like hip-hop was really taking a turn for the worse during the late nineties, and that was the same time that I began to get into electronic music and never looked back. I still like some older guys like KRS-1, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Mc Eiht, Wu-Tang, Gang Starr, Ice Cube, etc., but I don't listen to any of the newer hip-hop artists of today. IMO, none of them have the talent/creativity that some of the older guys did. When I'm at a club, you'll always find me whereever there's house music playing. I love the vibe and I love the energy. I don't feel that same vibe in a hip-hop environment.

Great. Too bad your team is a bunch of CHOKE ARTISTS who can never get the job done when they really need to (playoffs). Since your team hasn't won a World Series since 1918, asshole fans like you need to make excuses for why your team always chokes. Just shut the fuck up and win already! They fucked up the A-Rod deal b/c of the fact that the management wouldn't fork over an extra $2 million/year. But what can you expect from the team that sold Babe Ruth away? So now they are bitter about it and need to throw at him. I guess the only way you guys can hope to beat us is to try and injure our players. Boston sucks.....1918.....Aaron Boone, Bucky Dent, Babe Ruth, etc. etc.

Well he was saying he used to be into Exit and SF so I just assumed that he was looking for a big club. BTW, some of us have full time jobs which don't allow us to go out every night of the week.

Well if it's a big club you're looking for, Spirit or Crobar are the 2 choices that come to mind. Both are very nice looking venues and both are 21+ (except Fridays @ Spirit which are 18+). IMO, Crobar is only worth going to if a big name DJ is spinning; otherwise I wouldn't bother. Too much of a hip/trendy crowd who doesn't dance. I've had a great time anytime I've been to Spirit. JP spins on Saturdays, so you should know what to expect musicwise/crowdwise. It was pretty packed last Saturday night.

I thought the rumor was that Arc was going to take the Centro-Fly space....

Can someone please tell me how I can get an invite to this exclusive party??!! Maybe he can pick me up in his IROC Z on the way to the club...

A few of my friends wanted to go to Spirit last night and since I haven't been there for JP's Saturday night party, I figured what the hell. Just a few comments: Musically speaking, it was a pretty good night; nothing really memorable, but a pretty good set w/ some nice hard beats nonetheless. The new Phazon sounds good. The crowd, on the other hand, was totally wack. Tons of juiceheads running around with their shirts off everywhere you looked. Guys, I'm sure everyone was really impressed by the fact that you spend 3 hours a day in the gym/tanning salon. Nothing wrong w/ working out, but when you walk around a club w/ your shirt off, you look like a fuckin tool. Stop trying so hard, k? Also, there are clothing stores around not named Armani Exchange. To top it all off, a bunch of people formed this big circle which took up a bunch of space on the crowded dancefloor and people were jumping in the middle doing breakdancing moves and shit, almost kicking people, etc. Sorry, but the middle of a crowded dancefloor is no place for this shit. I still managed to have a good time w/ my friends, but I don't see myself going back to this party in the future. I really don't mind JP; I think he's a pretty good DJ, but the crowd there was just so lame. Bunch of posers everywhere you looked. Friday nights @ Spirit are definately a better choice if somebody good happens to be spinning. Just my 2 cents on the night.

I would definately check out CG if they were coming to town. I think that Spirit would be the perfect sized venue for such a show.
